At Event Radio we were delighted to be presented with the opportunity to be involved
with Christmas FM89.9.

Planning for the station commenced in early summer 2008 with a view to launching in Dublin City and County for 30 days from the 28th November. As Dublin’s first “All Christmas Radio Station” the pressure was on to ensure that everything went as smoothly as possible. The second element of the project was to combine with a charity partner to raise funds for them in the lead up to Christmas. After a number of discussions it was agreed to partner with the ISPCC.

Event Radio were pleased to provide full studio fit out as well as technical and business support. Happily the station was an immediate hit with the listening public who made the switch in their droves and raising tens of thousands of Euro for the ISPCC. A few statistics:

• Over 10,500 text messages received

• Nearly 4 million hits on the station website (www.christmasfm.ie)

• Average of 1,500 on line listeners daily

So successful was the project that we have committed ourselves to providing similar
support for Christmas 2009.
